Let's Give This Another Whirl.. [Jan. 16th, 2014|04:56 pm]

[mood |contemplativecontemplative]

I really did mean to keep up with this more..really..truly.  I'm not quite sure what happened though.  In any case, here I am again, blogging. Ish.  Hopefully I can keep it up for at least a few months.  So..what's new?  I've yet again hopped onto the dieting/exercise bandwagon, that being said, I just consumed at least 5 lindt chocolate balls. Will power? What's that?  But in all seriousness, it needs to stop. I was doing so well before with running and whatnot and I was loosing weight and fitting into clothes I never thought I would again and now I seem to have gone and undone almost all that hardwork. I am not pleased by this. At all.   So from here on out, no more sugar, or at least VERY little..more greens, more protein, more water.  For the love of all that is holy, definitely more water.

I also need to complete the nearly 426 projects I've started over the past year, or at least complete some of them.  I have books to read, series to finish, latchhooks to latch, paintings to paint, and spiders to bead.  Speaking of spiders, provided I can stop being so lazy, it seems that selling the bead spiders I make can be fairly lucrative.  Ebay seems to work the best for this.  I had tried Etsy but I wasn't getting very many bites on there.  I sold one photograph on there.  Those seem far harder to sell but that's alright because I don't find it nearly as rewarding for some reason.  I enjoy seeing someone in Colorado or Mississippi buying one of my spiders, it's neat to know that one of my creations is out there somewhere in someone's house.  Perhaps someday I'll come up with something else that I'm able to be crafty with and sell to people.  I certainly have no issues spending my time crafting, which I enjoy, and people paying me for it.

And Here I Am Again.. [Sep. 10th, 2012|06:51 pm]

It's strange to read posts I made almost 4 years ago now.  It's also strange how some of my current situation directly mirrors those very same events and feelings that were going on 4 years ago.  Strange, and yet comforting.  I didn't believe that I'd make it back then, I didn't believe that I'd ever love again but somehow, someway I did.  So perhaps now, when I'm feeling as if my entire world has crumbled around me, I'll find that will to carry on once again.  That maybe, just maybe, I'm not quite as broken as I think I am.

...didn't quite lead me home.  I think I'm back on here partially to start blogging again for pleasure and venting but also for money and perhaps...to reconnect with an old friend if possible.  I'm not really sure where to go from here but..we'll see!

The Holiday Shopping Season Is Upon Us! [Nov. 15th, 2008|07:16 pm]

As the holidays creep closer and closer many people have begun thinking of what gifts to buy for their loved ones. For many of us, this brings thoughts of the dreaded busy mall shopping trip, the neverending search for the perfect gift, and the seemingly impossible task of finding that gift at an affordable price.
Never fear fellow shoppers, the wonderful world of the internet has brought an answer to our prayers. Whether you're looking for the latest and greatest electronic gadget, dvds, car seats, you name it, it can be found here on ShopWiki.  This is an all encompassing website where you can search for any product imaginable and be given a list of stores that carry that product and at what price, thereby allowing you to compare products and pricing and reducing your search time greatly.
You can narrow your search results by price range, brand name, and even color as well as view reviews on that particular product.  Also, while you're searching you can view a list of relevant links for that product from other advertisers.  This website is incredibly user friendly as well as informative.
Let's take for example car seats.  Whether it's for a babyshower or a Christmas gift, Shopwiki can help you find the perfect one.  If you're looking for the top brands in car seats, you can view a list of them and then explore the various options under each brand.  Once you've selected a brand and a model you like, such as this Graco SnugRide, you can then view a list of all the stores that carry that specific model and at what cost.
Yet another great feature of this site is the ability to search for gifts based on the occassion, whether it's a birthday gift you're looking for or a gift to say you're sorry, there's a plethera of suggestions in every catagory.  And if it's the latter of these, you can even search within that catagory based on the severity of whatever it is that you're sorry for!  For itty-bitty mistakes you might try flowers or candy but for absolutely massive mistakes, they advise you to take the plunge and go big, such as an awesome vacation package or a diamond ring.
To sum it all up, this is the best website I've seen in quite some time.  It's easy to use, extremely time saving, and you have a huge source of consumer information with just a few clicks of a button.  So save your sanity this holiday season and give ShopWiki a whirl!

Makes Me Think... [Jun. 26th, 2008|10:30 pm]

[music |"Lost" -EverGrey]

I have been walking this long dark road
And I have been climbing this tree so old
I have been wanting to let it all fall
It's making me
Turning me...

Inside out
Going outside in
As I lie here
Inside out going outside in

You promised me to leave me be
But I got lost and could not see clearly
Now I'm afraid of whom I used to be
Right now I'm just glad that you found me

Inside out
Going outside in
As I lie here
Inside out going outside in

Can I admit to you that I was wrong?
Will you forgive me for what I have done?
Would you leave me here wounded and bleeding?

Inside out
Going outside in
Inside out going outside in
As I lie here...
Inside out
Going outside in
As I lie here
Inside out going outside in.
